The Planter Box converts the Seed branch into a growing Flower. It is not a dry Seed processor: the input must first absorb Water and become Wet Seed. The resulting Flower later yields both Gold and Amethelis.
Sandustry Planter Box facts
| Property | Confirmed value |
|---|---|
| Input | Wet Seed |
| Output | Flower |
| Passes through | Gold and Amethelis |
| Blocks liquid | No |
| Blocks gas | No |
Input and output flow
Read the flow together with the placement rules below. In Sandustry, the correct material can still fail when it enters from the wrong side, at the wrong speed, or in the wrong physical state.
How the Planter Box works
Growth begins when Wet Seed touches the Planter Box. Gold and Amethelis are the only solid-like outputs that pass through the structure, which supports a collection route below the plant after harvesting. The box itself does not block liquids or gases.
Recommended factory layout
Wet Seed in a separate chamber, then deliver it to an unobstructed Planter Box with vertical growth room. Build a harvest method that does not ignite neighboring crops, and collect dense Gold separately from drifting Amethelis petals.
Common Planter Box problems
| Symptom | Likely cause or check |
|---|---|
| Seed does not grow | Confirm it has become Wet Seed before reaching the box. |
| Plant has no room | Remove terrain or buildings directly above the growth area. |
| Harvest output escapes | Enclose the area below and account for Amethelis Wisp movement. |
