Production in Sandustry is a network of state changes rather than a short list of crafting recipes. Heat, cold, water, growth, and specialized machines all decide what a material becomes. These confirmed chains show the connections; exact throughput still depends on layout and variable yields.
Gold and the Residue recovery loop
Mix one Sand with one Water to create two Wet Sand. A Shaker always converts Wet Sand into Residue and has a 25% chance to produce Gold. Gold itself passes through the Shaker, so provide a clear output route instead of trapping it in the machine.
Burning the main Shaker output is how the opening line becomes a connected economy. The Kinetic Press recovers additional Gold while providing Seed for the plant branch.
From plants to Florinol Energy
A harvested Flower yields Gold and Amethelis. Steam-dry Amethelis into Dry Amethelis, heat it into Florin gas, then cool and condense Florin into liquid Florinol. A Florinol Battery stores that liquid as Energy for machines and powered tools.
Water, Steam, Snow, and rain
Heat turns Water into Steam. Steam rises and returns as rain; Snow produced by a Cryoblaster can freeze Water and can also become part of the steam-and-rain cycle when heated. Keep the supply line away from accidental heat when stable liquid Water is the intended input.
Move Lava by changing its state
The standard Pump and Pipe route does not transport Lava. A Cryoblaster solidifies it into Cinder, which can move as loose material. Reapply sufficient heat, such as a Flamethrower, only where liquid Lava is needed.
Void refining
A Flux Emanator converts Voidbloom into Fluxite. The Void Rift produces Void Seeds for the broader void-material branch, while the Locator consumes Void Juice to scan for hidden alien artifacts. These are specialized lines, so isolate their storage and transport from ordinary bulk production.
Why the overall ratio is not a calculator
The official Beginner's Guide preserves a community estimate of roughly 2 Sand : 3 Water : 4 Redsand → 3 Gold : 8 Fluxite. The same source warns that results depend heavily on Residue burn yield and vary during the plant stage. Use that ratio to estimate scale, not to promise an exact output.
For troubleshooting, inspect the line in this order: input ratio, physical state, temperature, machine compatibility, then blocked by-products.
