Sandustry's world is both landscape and inventory. This index records the 53 material names grouped by the official Wiki category snapshot: 20 terrain materials, 22 solids, 6 liquids, and 5 gases. A name in the list confirms the category, not an unlisted recipe.

Materials that connect major chains
| Chain | Connected materials | Factory purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Early Gold | Sand, Water, Wet Sand, Gold, Residue, Burnt Residue | Build income while turning Shaker waste into another input. |
| Plants and Energy | Seed, Wet Seed, Flower, Amethelis, Dry Amethelis, Florin, Florinol | Connect farming to a storable energy carrier. |
| Water states | Ice, Water, Steam, Snow | Manage freezing, boiling, clouds, rain, and fluid supply. |
| Lava transport | Lava, Cinder | Freeze an unpumpable liquid into a movable solid. |
| Void refining | Voidbloom, Fluxite, Void Seed, Void Juice | Support late conversion, upgrades, and artifact scanning. |
Density is useful, but the chart needs care
Density influences how materials settle and separate, but the community density chart preserved by the official Wiki contains a known placement error: its own note says Lava should appear between Redsand and Gold. For that reason, this guide does not republish the image as an exact ordered data table.
When two materials meet, identify physical state before choosing transport. Belts and launchers handle loose solids; Pumps and Pipes handle supported liquids, while gases and thermal state changes need their own design.
Detailed Sandustry material guides
These priority materials have dedicated pages covering production, physical behavior, factory use, and troubleshooting.
- GoldLearn how Sandustry Gold is produced, collected, separated, and converted to Liquid Gold for research and compact storage.
- WaterUnderstand Sandustry Water sources, Wet Sand and Wet Seed reactions, evaporation, pumps, and temperature changes.
- Wet SandBuild a reliable Sandustry Wet Sand line with the correct 1:1 input reaction, Shaker outputs, yield limits, and blockage checks.
- ResidueTurn Sandustry Residue from a Shaker by-product into Burnt Residue without losing control of heat or output flow.
- Burnt ResidueProcess Sandustry Burnt Residue through a Kinetic Press with the required drop height to obtain guaranteed Gold and Seed.
- SeedUse Sandustry Seed from the Kinetic Press to make Wet Seed and grow Flowers without mixing the plant and Gold outputs.
- FlowerGrow and harvest Sandustry Flowers for Gold and Amethelis while protecting the plant line from uncontrolled fire.
- AmethelisCollect, contain, and dry Sandustry Amethelis petals as the first step toward Florin gas and Florinol Energy.
- Dry AmethelisBurn Sandustry Dry Amethelis into Florin gas while managing Wisp movement, approximate yield, and heat containment.
- FlorinCapture and condense Sandustry Florin gas into Florinol and Gold instead of letting it escape into the sky.
- FlorinolUse Sandustry Florinol from condensed Florin to unlock Energy production and later Synthesizer recipes.
- LavaMove and use Sandustry Lava safely by freezing it to Scoria and Cinder, then reigniting it at the destination.
- CinderTransport Sandustry Cinder as the solid form used to relocate Lava, then restore it with direct flame.
- VoidbloomFeed Sandustry Voidbloom into a Flux Emanator correctly to grow Fluxite at a confirmed one-to-one conversion.
- FluxiteFind, produce, and harvest Sandustry Fluxite for upgrades to tools, weapons, and drones.
