Every pixel in Sandustry can be a resource, but a resource becomes useful only when you know what changes it. These six chains connect the early Gold economy to plants, energy, safe lava transport, and late-game void materials.
The water cycle
Ice melts when heated. Water boils into Steam, Steam rises and forms clouds, and Rain returns Water to the surface. When a factory appears to lose Water, check whether the supply froze, boiled away, or stopped moving through the fluid network.
The Sand-to-Gold economy
Use a balanced Sand and Water input. The Shaker separates Wet Sand into Gold and Residue; burning Residue creates Burnt Residue, which the Kinetic Press converts into more Gold and Seed. A waste output therefore becomes the input to the next economic loop.
The Seed, flower, and Florin chain
Harvested Flowers produce Gold and Amethelis. Steam-dry Amethelis, burn the dry material into Florin gas, then condense Florin into Florinol for energy storage. This chain connects farming, income, gas handling, and the power grid.
Freeze Lava before transport
Normal Pumps and Pipes do not carry Lava. A Cryoblaster freezes it into Cinder, a solid that can be moved safely and later reignited. Design the route around the state change instead of trying to force the liquid through a Water system.
Late-game void materials
Voidbloom becomes Fluxite inside a Flux Emanator. Void Seed begins another branch of the void material line, while Void Juice fuels the Locator used to scan for relic positions. Keep these specialized outputs separate from ordinary production storage.

Ratios and physical state matter. If a recipe is correct but the line still fails, inspect excess input, temperature, and whether the selected machine handles a solid, liquid, or gas.
